The Ritz-Carlton Maui, Kapalua Event Production Services
AVS Audio Visual Services Hawaii provides audio, LED video, projection, cameras, lighting, and technical crew for executive meetings, incentive programs, and evening galas at The Ritz-Carlton Maui, Kapalua.
Set oceanfront within the 22,000-acre Kapalua Resort in West Maui, the Ritz offers about 50,000 square feet of indoor meeting space and nearly 300,000 square feet of event space overall. A typical program might start in the ballroom, move to the Aloha Garden Pavilion, and end on an oceanfront lawn, and each of those settings needs a different production plan. Our Maui team works out of a Wailuku warehouse, so equipment and crew are already on the island.
How the Ballroom's 16-Foot Ceiling Shapes the AV Plan
The Ritz-Carlton Ballroom is large, about 157 by 95 feet, but its 16-foot ceiling limits how tall screens can be. In a room that holds 1,400 theater-style, that means a single front screen often can't be read from the back rows. AVS solves this with wide, low-profile INFiLED 2.6mm LED walls or Barco 4K laser projection, plus delay screens partway back so every row has a clear view. Sony HDC-3100 cameras feed IMAG for keynote speakers.
Audio follows the same approach. Instead of relying only on loudspeakers at the stage, AVS adds d&b audiotechnik delay speakers through the room, so the back rows hear clearly without the front rows getting blasted. Mixing runs on Yamaha digital consoles with Shure Axient Digital wireless. When the ballroom splits into its four salons, we can plan for the system to split with it.
LED Video Walls & Large-Format Projection
AVS can provide INFiLED 2.6mm LED video walls, Barco 4K laser projection, Sony HDC-3100 broadcast camera systems, seamless IMAG, professional playback, recording, switching, and confidence monitoring. Systems are designed around sightlines and audience experience so the technology supports the event rather than overwhelming the room. The visual approach can change just as dramatically. Executive sessions may call for understated displays and confidence monitoring, while the ballroom or Aloha Garden Pavilion can support larger LED, projection, IMAG, and camera environments designed around audience distance and the creative goals of the event.
Event Lighting & Atmosphere Control
Lighting at The Ritz-Carlton Maui should match the resort's refined setting. For executive meetings and ballroom sessions, that means camera-ready presenter lighting and clean room washes. For galas, entertainment, and awards dinners, AVS adds branded stage lighting, intelligent fixtures, and scenic accents.
Evening programs in the Aloha Garden Pavilion and on the oceanfront lawns are designed around the Kapalua sunset. Battery-powered uplights, pathway lighting, and architectural accents are focused before guests arrive, so the lighting takes over smoothly as daylight fades and enhances the setting rather than competing with it.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can we bring an outside AV company to The Ritz-Carlton Maui, Kapalua?
Yes. Luxury resorts often have an in-house AV partner, and hotel contracts can include fees or requirements for outside vendors, such as power, patching, or rigging through house providers. Review the AV clause in your contract early. AVS coordinates with the resort's teams so responsibilities are clear before load-in.
Does the Aloha Garden Pavilion have rigging points?

AVS works with the resort to utilize the existing infrastructure and develops a customized lighting design and lighting plot based on your event’s specific needs. We can also supplement the venue with additional production elements, including LED walls, entertainment audio, cameras, specialty lighting, and other event technology.
Does AVS have equipment on Maui?
Yes. Our warehouse is in Wailuku, so equipment for Ritz-Carlton events doesn't have to be shipped from another island or the mainland.
